How it works

  1. 01

    Drop the archives

CBZ or CBR, up to 50 at once. They never leave the tab.

  2. 02

    Pages get re-inked

Every page is compressed and redrawn smaller, right there on your own device.

  3. 03

    Keep the lighter copy

You get CBZ files back, usually 30–70% smaller, quality intact.

Frequently asked questions

Do my manga and comics get uploaded anywhere?

No. Your files are opened and rewritten on your own device, and no page or archive is ever uploaded. There is no account. The site keeps anonymous usage counts and crash reports, and neither one carries your file names.

How much space will I actually save?

Most manga and comic archives shrink by 30-70%. Flat greyscale scans save the most; pages that were already squeezed hard save the least.

Will the image quality get worse?

There is a tradeoff, but at the default setting most pages look the same at reading size. The slider decides, from 50% for the smallest files up to 100% to stay close to the original.

Can I convert CBR to CBZ?

Yes, automatically. Drop in either one and you always get CBZ back, which more readers support.

Is there a file size or batch limit?

Up to 50 files at a time. CBR is capped at 1 GB, because a RAR has to be read into memory whole. CBZ has no fixed ceiling: the result streams to disk while it is built, so only your own device limits it.

Does it work offline, and which browsers are supported?

Any current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on desktop and mobile. CBZ files compress without a connection once the page has loaded; CBR needs one the first time, to fetch the unpacker.
